Christopher Clinton is an award-winning Hobart-based architect with close to two decades of industry experience.

Originally from a trade background, his vision combines a craftsman’s eye-for-detail with practical design rigour, and an in-depth knowledge of materials and construction processes. His approach is based on the principle that high-quality design and low-hassle construction are about fostering strong, collaborative relationships at every stage of the process.

As project architect (Terroir in association with John Wardle Architects), he was a key member of the design/delivery team behind the multi-award winning Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies on the Hobart waterfront, and his own home, ‘New Town Road House’, won the Peter Willmott Small Project Award at the 2015 Tasmanian Architecture Awards and was shortlisted for the AIA National Awards.
